Tarina kerrotaan kahdella eri ajalla. 1945 nuori Daniel alkaa nähdä outoja juttuja. Ja käyttäytyä oudosti. Hänen kaverinsa pitävät häntä myös outona. 1955 taas tohtorismies päätyy katsomaan poikaa, jonka kiltti äiti on ilman järkevää syytä teurastanut koko muun perheen koiraa myöden. Minun makuuni kerronta on sekava ja pomppii kamalasti. On paljon juttua ja silti oikein mitään ei paljastu tai selviä.
Kuvitus on yksityiskohtaista ja mustavalkoista. En pidä siitä, miten monesti ihmisten kasvot ovat "blankot" ja silmät tyhjät. Monet näyttävät myös ihan samoilta. Ja teinit jopa kolmekymppisiltä.
