Ison omenan alla on toinen mokoma. Maailma, jota asuttavat erilaiset taikovat ihmiset. On druideja, velhoja, velhottaria, noitia, woodoon harjoittajia... Mitä kaikkia heitä nyt onkaan. Ja he tekevät kauppaa ihmisten kanssa. Heillä on oma salainen yhteisönsä ja omat sääntönsä. Eikä sieltä ole helppoa lähteä...

Alison on kuitenkin koettanut. Hän on luonut uraa ihmisten maailmassa, mutta sitten hänet väkipakolla raahataan takaisin, sillä hänen perheensä on tehnyt jotain pahaa ja taikovien sääntöjen mukaan oman perheen pitää korjata asiat. Se ei olekaan helppoa, kun vastassa ovat omat (pakotetut) vanhemmat, ikivanha demoni ja aikalailla koko kaupungin poliisivoimat...

Kiintoisa tarina, kiintoisia hahmoja. Useimmilla tuntuu olevan taustavaikutteita ja piiloajatuksia. Heistä olisi mukava oppia lisää. Muuten tarina on vauhdikas, välillä vähän liiankin. Ei ole oikein tilaa hengittää. Väkivaltaa ja julmuuksia on aika paljon ja ne näkyvät myös kuvituksessa.

Tumma, julma ja kiehtova. Runberg ja Andolfo on oikein passeli yhdistelmä.

Ihan söpöinen tarina laboratoriossa kasvatetusta superälykkäästä tytöstä, joka karkaa ja päätyy töihin lähikahvilaan. Kahvilassa hän alkaa ratkomaan ihmisten ongelmia, kuten rakastumista ja onnellisuutta. Kuten arvata saattaa, asiat eivät mene ihan putkeen ja tyttönen joutuu pulaan. Onneksi hän on ehtinyt jo saamaan koko liudan ystäviä, jotka ovat valmiita auttamaan.

Juoni on vähän epäuskottava. Jos hän on superälykäs, niin miksi hän jää ihan laboratorion viereen? Ja aika heppoiset turvatoimet labralla myös on.

Kuvitus on myös söpöistä jälkeä ja väreinä käytetty paljon vaaleaa sävyä. Ikävä vain, että kuvittaja unohtaa välillä yksityiskohtia... Esimerkiksi Miralla on välillä essu päällä ja seuraavassa ruudussa taas ei ja sitten jälleen. Tunnelma vähän latistuu.

Mukaan mahtuu huonoa onnea, ruumiita, petosta ja tietysti paljon, paljon piilottelua.

Kiintoisa vaihtoehto ja mahdollisuus. Omanlaisensa julma tarina varsin julmasta maailmasta.

Kuvitus on realistista ja paikoitellen väkivaltaista. Ei sovi herkille. Värityksessä on jotain maalauksellista.

Julmaa, ihmisiä leikkelevää tyyppiä metsästää kaksi ihmistä. Entinen poliisi, joka ei voi jättää asiaa sikseen, ja erään uhrin äiti. Julma, raaka ja väkivaltainen. Tarinassa on jotain itua, mutta se menee vain jossain kohtaa todella, todella paljon yli. Sen verran, että alkaa jopa ällöttämään. Eikä loppu ole minusta oikein uskottava.

Kuvitus on tummasävytteinen, julma ja raaka. Ei todellakaan herkille! Kahden kuvittajan tyyleissä on myös todella paljon eroja. Jopa niin paljon, että en välillä ollut tunnistaa samaa henkilöä uuden kuvittajan kohdalla...

Kaksikko jatkaa palloilua sen suhteen pitävätkö he toisistaan vai eivät. Kumpikin arpoo omalla tahollaan ja kavereidensa kanssa. Onneksi kumpaistakin kannustetaan ottamaan ratkaisevia askeleita. Mutta riittääkö se ja pääsevätkö pojat lähemmäs toisiaan? Etenkin kun Elian vanhemmilla tuntuisi olevan varsin suuret odotukset poikansa tulevaisuuden näkymien suhteen.

Roberta on päättänyt yllättää vaimonsa ja mennä sittenkin häihin, joihin sanoi, ettei pääsisi. Kumma vain, ettei vaimo oikein näytä ilahtuvan asiasta. Sitten paljastuu kamala asia häävieraista. Sen on Robertasta niin järkyttävä, että ilmainen baari tulee varsin tarpeeseen. Eikä siinä vielä kaikki. Yksi paikallaolijoista kuolee ja myrsky eristää koko hotellin. Tällä hetkellä tämä on vielä kirjailijan uusin. Mutta tänä keväänä on tulossa jo vieläkin uudempaa. Ja näköjään tämä ja Now we are dead -kirja on laitettu sarjaksi.
