Unemployment means that he is free to move in to the trailer park where his father lives, and assume the role of chief carer. Their daily schedule of pill counting and medical checks unfolds in an extraordinary world where the protagonist is a minotaur, his father a rhinoceros, social workers are sea turtles and mobile homes move atop gigantic elephants. Curious neighbours and medical and social care workers - whether man or beast - become their friends, and the family comes together once more.

And as the old man battles against emphysema, his shortness of breath becomes more evident until his speech bubbles, previously charged with pity comment, are mostly filled with pauses.*

Tämän sarjakuvan nimi ei todellakaan kerro paljoa sen sisällöstä. Itse voisin nimetä sen ennemmin “saattohoitoparkiksi”, sillä siitä tässä todella on kyse. Vanha isä on saattohoidossa ja odottaa kuolemaa. Hänen työtön, sarjakuvia piirtävä poikansa taas saapuu huolehtimaan hänestä. Samalla syntyy sarjakuva perheen elämästä, joka ei ole ollut helppo. Mukaan mahtuu etäinen ja työtä tekevä isä, avioero ja lasten väliset kinat sekä nuoren ihmisen arki ja unelmat.

Sarjakuva on piirretty oivaltavasti. Isä on sarvikuono, poika itse minotauri. Naiset ovat ihmisiä ja sosiaalityöntekijät milloin mitäkin otuksia. Kuvitus on voimakasta ja monitulkintaista. Paksut viivat ja voimakkaat kuvat. Kuvien koko vaihtelee samoin ruutujen määrä sivullaan. Joskus kuljetaan täydessä mustuudessa. Värityksen puoleen ollaan oltu niukkoja: mustaa, valkoista, harmaata, sinistä ja punaista. Näistä aineksista syntyy voimakas ja hieno kuvitus.
