Martin on todellakin herra Tavallisuus. Äitinsä mielestä jopa herra Luuseri. Äiti toivoisi poikansa olevan homo, kärsivän alkoholiongelmista tai ihan mistä vain. Jotta äiti itse saisi aiheen puhua hänestä, olla jotain, saada huomiota. Martin itse taas haluaisi enintään olla onnellinen.
Martinin tarina on kerrottu lyhyissä pätkissä, jotka osittain pitävät salaisuutensa ja osittain paljastavat aina hieman lisää tapahtumien todellisesta laidasta. Myös etsivä Anther, An, saa omine salaisuuksineen äänensä kuuluville. Miten Anin ja Martinin käy? Onko kaksikolla mahdollisuuksia tässä melkoisessa väärinkäsitysten myrskyssä?
Erilainen jännäri, joka ainakin minulla meni jopa hivenen tunteisiin asti. Tunteiden kirjo olikin sitten melkoisen laaja - säälistä raivoon.
