Leikitään, että William Shakespeare on oikeasti olemassa ja että hän on kirjoittanut eloon myös tarinoidensa henkilöt. Jotka nyt elävät omassa maailmassaan ja toimivat kuten miten. Joku koettaa anastaa kaiken vallan, joku juonittelee vähän muuten vain. Osa koettaa löytää Shakespearen oikaisemaan vääryyksiä, mutta ennustus on sanonut, että sen voi tehdä vain Shadow King, jota sitten koetetaankin värvätä vähän puolelle ja toiselle. Tämä on siis kertomus varsin erikoisista sattumuksista.
