Described as “X-FILES meets MEN IN BLACK with witches,” this premium 272-page graphic novel contains 17 chapters written, illustrated and/or art directed by Mathieu Bablet along with prose articles connecting these fictional events to real-world esotericism by Mathieu’s author-wife, Claire Barbe. While these stories are imaginary, the worldwide practice of witchcraft is not.*

Naisissa on magiaa. Naiset käyttävät käsiään tehdäkseen taikoja. Yksikään nainen ei saa olla liian voimakas, sillä silloin hän voi olla riski muille. Jottei kukaan tulisi liian voimakkaaksi, on perustettu The Midnight Order valvomaan ja rankaisemaan. Järjestön tehtävänä on etsiä liian voimakkaat noidat ja ottaa heiltä kädet pois. Tarina seuraa kahta järjestön jäsentä, jotka vähitellen ajautuvat eri poluille ja lopulta jopa vähän vastakkain.

Koko tarina koostuu pienistä yksittäisistä tapauksista, joiden kesken kuvittaja vaihtuu. Tyylejä on monta ja joissain kohtaa tutunkin hahmon ulkonäkö on varsin erilainen. Yleiseltä ilmeeltään kaikki tarinoiden kuvitukset ovat synkähköjä.
