Lukiolaisdraamaa monella erilaisella pienellä twistillä. Essien paras ystävä on vuoden vanhempi ja lähtenyt toisaalle opiskelemaan. Äkkiä tällä ei tunnukaan riittävän aikaa entiseen. Essie on myös suunnitellut viettävänsä enemmän aikaa poikaystävänsä kanssa ja jättää siksi menemättä perinteiseen teatteriryhmään. Asiat kuitenkin menevät vähän puihin poikaystävän kanssa ja tyttö päätyy koulun draamaklubiin, jonka näytelmästä ei saa edes pääosaa! Lisäksi on vielä se, että veli on muualla vieroituksessa ja vanhemmat - varsinkin äiti - odottavat tytöltä ihan liikoja. Kuinka Essie luovii läpi viimeisen lukiovuoden? Etenkin kun yksi tehtävistä on pitää päiväkirjaa...

Ihana tarina jossa on hienoja käänteitä ja yllätyksiä. Siinä on kaveruutta, rakkautta, epätoivoa, toivoa ja vaikka mitä. Myös sellaisia käänteitä, mitä ei ole osannut odottaa.

Kuvitus ja värit toimivat. Väreissä ja viivoissa on jotain todella herkkää ja kaunista.
