Sarjan ensimmäinen osa käy läpi Briar Rosen, eli Ruususen tarinaa. Siihen on näppärästi sidottu myös Lumikuningatarta ja Ali Babaa, joten toimintaa kyllä piisaa. Tarina toimii ja pidän siitä, miten sadut heräävät henkiin. Myös kuvitus on hyvää jälkeä.
