Seireenit ja incubukset ovat vallanneet Manhattanin. Kaksi kilpailevaa ryhmittymää elää enemmän tai vähemmän jännittyneessä tilassa suurkaupungin sykkeessä. Muut "taikaolennot" koettavat luovia välissä.

Sarjakuva seuraa nuorta Laylaa, joka on saapunut kaupunkiin etsimään äitiään. Hän on pienessä pakkoraossa, sillä hänen sisällään kasvaa lapsi, jonka ilmestyttyä mukaan kuvioihin on alkanut tapahtua kummia. Nyt Laylan tielle astuvat monet uudet ihmiset/olennot ja asiat. Ihan kiva tarina. Tosin jotkut ratkaisut ovat vähän ylitseampuvia ja joissain paikoissa tunnutaan kiirehtivän liikaa. Henkilöhahmot ovat kivan persoonallisia ja huumoria löytyy.

Kuvitus on realistista ja värit hienot. Tai siis se, että miten pääasiassa mustavalkoiseen sarjakuvaan on tuotu eloa ja ilmettä sinisillä ja punaisilla (sekä myös violeteilla) korostuksilla.
