Tarina nuoresta Coreystä, jonka elämää ovat ohjanneet pitkään äidin sanat ja teot. Corey kasvaa mormoniperheessä ja yhteisössä. Hänen vanhempansa eroavat ja äiti manipuloi lapset olemaan puhumatta isälle ja estää heitä tapaamasta isän puolen sukulaisia.
