Neljän sisaruksen elämä on vähän outoa. Heidän vanhempansa ovat kadonneet mystisesti ja yksi siskoista koettaa etsiä heitä. Toinen elelee tähtösen elämää. Kolmas maalaa epätoivoisesti ja nuorin on vasta koulussa ja toimii postilähettinä. Sitten kaupunkiin saapuu sirkus ja kaikki alkaa mennä pieleen...
Alku on vähän poukkoileva ja sekava. Sen verran kiinnostaa kuitenkin, että jään odottamaan jatkoa. Tosin sirkuksen tyypit ovat oikeasti aika pelottavia vähänkään pellekammoisille.
