Söpöinen ja kivan spookyinen tarina siitä, millaista on voinut olla kasvaa pienessä kaupungissa Texasissa aikana jolloin homous tulkittiin vakavaksi ongelmaksi. Nuori Cade joutuu kipuilemaan itsensä kanssa ja vilkkaan mielikuvituksensa takia joutuukin melkoisiin kommelluksiin päätyessään kesäksi töihin maalille, jonka omistava perhe suorastaan tarjoilee draamaa!
Hupia, huumoria, mutta myös todella vakavasti otettavia tosiasioita ja pelkoja. Toivottavasti kukaan ei enää nykyään joudu kasvamaan moisissa olosuhteissa.
Kuvitus on kivaa jälkeä. Henkilöhahmot toteutettu mukavasti ja värit ovat seepiansävyä. Kokonaisuus on oikein tunnelmallinen.
