Lift liikkuu kahdella eri aikatasolla ja useammissa eri paikoissa. Osittain seurataan Foreverin lapsuutta, aikaa jolloin hän oli noin 13-vuotias ja vasta opetteli taitojaan. Enimmäkseen ollaan kuitenkin nykyajassa, mutta tapahtumia seurataan paitsi Foreverin, niin myös parin toisenkin henkilön kautta. Nämä toiset kuuluvat wasteen, eli he ovat niin sanotusti “turhia”. Eikä heidän elämänsä ole helppoa. Wasten elämä ajaa ihmiset varsin erilaisiin ratkaisuihin: joko yrittämään parempaa hyvällä tai pahalla.
Sarjakuvan rakenne toimii ja kuvitus on hyvää jälkeä. Paikoitellen melko väkivaltainen, joten ei herkimmille.
