Sarjakuva liikkuu kahdessa eri ajassa. Toisessa seurataan nuoren Alicen elämää, joka ei ole mitenkään helppo. Hänen äitinsä ja kasvatti-isänsä riitelevät ja perheessä on paljon väkivaltaa. Ainoan lohdun tuo Alicen lahjaksi saama nukkekoti. Mutta tässä nukkekodissa on jotain outoa ja vähitellen Alicen elämä alkaa suistua raiteiltaan… Toisessa ollaan menneisyydessä ja siellä vähitellen paljastuu nukkekodin tarina.

Tarina on jännittävä ja mystinen. Joissain paikoin jopa karmaiseva. Se on yliluonnollinen ja väkivaltainen. Ei mikään kaunis lastensatu. Lisäksi kuvitus on pelottavaa jälkeä. Se on hieno, mutta ei mitenkään hellävarainen. En suosittele herkille, mutta niille, jotka haluavat kauhistua, on tässä mainio lukukokemus.
