Along her quest, Alex learns of a mysterious connection between her family’s fate and the rulers of Haphaven. With her mother’s life on the line, Alex must finally get the better of the superstitions that have controlled her life, even if it means crossing the black cat once and for all.*
Tarinassa on kivasti hyödynnetty taikauskoa ja siihen liittyviä uskomuksia. Taustalta löytyy kuitenkin ajatus siitä, että vaikka joskus onnella voi olla tekemistä asioiden kanssa, voi jokainen myös itse tehdä itselleen kohtalon. Jokainen voi siis olla “oman onnensa seppä”. Tämä ovela fantasiaseikkailu pitääkin sisällään kivan tarinan siitä, kuinka nuori tyttö kasvaa ja lopulta löytää oman voimansa.
Haphaven on kiintoisa fantasiamaailma, jännittävä seikkailu ja mukavasti kuvitettu.
