Ei ole helppoa olla high schoolissa. Tämän Gar on huomannut. Etenkin jos haluaisi olla edes hetken suosittu. Tässä sarjakuvassa puikkelehditaankin reippaasti viimeistä vuottaan high schoolia käyvien nuorten elämässä. Tehdään haasteita ja haaveillaan coolin tytön suosiosta ja niin edelleen. Painopiste on paitsi siinä, onko pakko olla suosittu, niin myös ystävyydessä ja kysymyksessä siitä, miten hyväksyä itsensä ja löytää omat vahvuutensa. Nuorten huolten mukaan on saatu paljon asiaa. Kiintoisalla tavalla.
Gar on hahmona sympaattinen persoona. Jokseenkin epävarma ja itseään vielä etsivä. Hänen toverinsa taas tukevia ja rakastettavia. Hyviä ystäviä kaiken kaikkiaan. Hieman pojan vanhemmat epäilyttävät kasvatusmetodeillaan…
Kiinnostava juoni. Hyviä ja samaistuttavia hahmoja. Mukavia viitteitä siihen, mitä ehkä voi tulevaisuudessa tulla vastaan ja mitä onkaan parasta aikaa tapahtumassa. Sarjakuvan lopussa on kiva muutaman sivun mittainen mini-sarjis, jossa Gar kohtaa kiinnostavan tummatukkaisen tytön…
Kuvitus on kivaa katsottavaa. Dynaaminen ja värikäs. Toimii.
