Tässä on jälleen kirja, jonka valkkasin pelkän kannen perusteella, enkä sitäkään katsonut edes kunnolla. Nimi kuulosti jännältä ja sanat "he lived only for revenge..." suorastaan koukuttivat. Niin pahoin, että muu jäi huomaamatta. Vasta lukiessa nimittäin tajusin, että kyseessä olikin eräänlainen rakkaustarina...
Oli miten oli, kirja koukutti yllättävästi. Se on kirjoitettu mukavasti tyylillä, jota lukee mielellään. Siinä on koukkuja, jotka pitävät mielenkiintoa yllä. Henkilöhahmoissa on jotain särmää, joka saa kiinnostumaan. En kiellä, etteikö henkilöhahmojen kategoria tai heidän luonteensa olisi jotenkin perinteinen, mutta riittävän mielenkiintoinen se silti on. Juonikin on sinällään ennalta arvattava, mutta siinä olevat vivahteet tekevät siitä silti erilaisen ja luettavan.
Vaikka kaikki eteneekin tyypilliseen tapaan salamavauhtia - tavataan, ihastutaan, rakastutaan ja niin edelleen, on kirja kuitenkin mukava välipala. Ei liikaa ajatuksia, vaan luettavaa viihdettä.
