Kirjassa pidin siitä, että tarina eli sekä menneessä että nykyisyydessä. Menneessä seurataan nuorten elämää ja sen kohtalokkaan illan tapahtumia. Nykyisyydessä Kinsey koettaa ottaa selvää tapauksesta kymmenen vuotta myöhemmin. Miten nuorten teot ja päätökset vaikuttavat asiaan? Kuka on ollut kainen takana ja miksi? Kysymyksiä herää, eikä niiden selvittäminen ole sieltä helpoimmasta päästä. Varsinkaan kun Kinseyn elämään palaa mies lähimenneisyydestä… Pystyykö hän pitämään puoliaan vaanivia varjoja vastaan?

Viimeinen Aakkosdekkari ei tuottanut pettymystä. Mieli on nyt haikea, kun tämä pitkä lukuprojekti on saatettu päätökseen. Kokonaisuudessaan olen tyytyväinen sarjaan, vaikka hieman parin kohdan jääminen “auki” harmitteleekin. Toisaalta hyvä, että Graftonin perikunta päätti olla antamatta viimeistä kirjaa jonkun toisen valmisteltavaksi/viimeisteltäväksi.
